  • It's crazy how after traveling (even with just the few countries I've been to) how much more you notice the beauty and uniqueness in things. Even things where you may have been born and raised. I can't even imagine traveling the world like you guys. I was 40 becore my 1st trip out of the US and had big plans to see some of the world but literally after picking a country out of a hat I met someone in the airport and after 40 years of bachelorhood with no kids she's now my wife and came as package deal with 2 kids that I adore also. Now travel plans have been massively slowed down for a decade or so until the kids are on their own…haha We still plan to travel some, but travel cost for 1 is a lot different than travel cost for 4…haha

  • Good! Very Good!👍🏻
2 years, almost,I haven’t been back but with your videos… well… will go back soon na Cidade Maravilhosa! Good job!👍🏻
Pierre, Balneario Camboriu, SC. Should come down here, guys! Beautiful as well! 🤗

  • Great summary of Rio's downtown area, I had the pleasure to see it in person, a few years ago on a trip to Brazil and I loved it, there's a lot more to see, it's beautiful and the people were very nice and helpful.

  • for me personally, the best city in the whole world…and yeah, they pronounce my city (vienna) 5-6 years in a row for the best city in the world for living, but yeah…i dont think so…i would change it every time for rio!
    ❤️🇧🇷

  • Those buildings close to Theatro Municiapal:
    – Biblioteca Nacional, it's really cool to see inside as well.
    – Museu Nacional de Belas Artes
    – Câmara Municipal (city council)
    – Famous bars Amarelinho and Verdinho
    – Cine Odeon… where there are usually movie premieres in Rio. (Even a few international movies).

  • Loved this video. That fancy schmansy pastry place , all those cakes pastry’s look so good , one of each plz lol. It’s so cheap in that market place would have bought Carol 150 bikinis . Ok I want to hear how Chris and Carol met over at the office water cooler .

  • very nice…i enjoyed Flamengo/Botafogo, lovely Sta. Tereza, Lapa…in the early 90 s always stayed in Catete area, real Rio place, without to many gringos…much better than those touristy spots like copacabana…Ipanema or Leblon really sucks, with super arrogant high class people(or at least those, who act like)…but finally RIO is a great place, if you like party, music, football, beaches, pretty people,…every real traveller must see Rio !!!

  • Rio is very nice but unfortunately a lot of historic buildings were destroyed for more apartments. So the town could be more interesting for tourism if they had preserved the historical sites. I remember to see you guys in Algarve, last year. Best and abraços!

  • Great seeing where you two met. Nice! Such beautiful old buildings. Churches everywhere. Brazil must be a very Christian nation because of so many churches. Do Brazilians go to church regularly? Is it hard to find a job in Brazil as an American?
Wow—the church were you mom & dad got married Chris. I guess, did your dad coming from UK visit Brazil, and met your mom, and married her? Kinda like what you did? But, you are half Brazilian–so you belonged there (Brazil) anyway—lol. Such a romantic story with you and Carol—maybe a movie is coming soon about you and Carol's life—-lol.
    Colombo coffee house!!!wow!
Gosh the old buildings—narrow are so beautiful in downtown Rio. I would really love to visit the market—so much stuff. I've never seen a library that big. Wow!
Such so many designs of buildings. The Theatre Municipal "Yes" most beautiful ❤️.
    Wow, museum of tomorrow—strange looking.
Thanks for the video Chris & Carol
    God bless,
    Dwight
